We're still alive!

Snapshots of November and into December...

We went to vist the Grandparents over Thanksgiving. Dillon is helping to make turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner.

We went to the light parade here in Grand Junction. After nearly getting blown away by a freak rain/snow/wind storm, we enjoyed the parade. Dillon and Ethan are having fun watching the floats.

Ethan loved being bundled up in his penguin outfit. He stayed pretty warm.

Just wanting to open those presents...

Dillon got his cast off at the end of November. Christmas is right around the corner. Hard to believe how fast time flies. I need to do better at keeping this updated.

Almost Halloween

Grandma came to visit last Thursday and was here until Saturday. Dillon had fun hanging out and especially making cookies. Saturday evening there was a "downtown spooktacular" on Main Street here in Grand Junction. We pulled Dillon from store to store for candy. From watching everyone who was out that day, it appears that Spiderman is the costume of choice this year. Ethan just enjoyed looking at everything from the stroller.

Tonight we carved pumpkins. Dillon loved it. He has loved carving pumpkins now for a few years. I almost think he is more excited for that than he is for Christmas. After we were done, he sat there just staring at them for a long time. His favorite Halloween show is "Charlie Brown Pumpkin." I dont know what its really called, but we had to have that playing as we carved.

Corn Maze

Saturday we took Dillon and Ethan to a corn maze. Dillon was pulled in the wagon. It was a small maze so we didnt get too lost.

Right after we took this picture Ethan fell over backwards and got scratched on his head by the hay bale. Dillon wasnt holding him "tight enough." We had fun though and thankfully the weather was nice on Saturday. Sunday was much colder and windy.

Looks like I took us down a dead end. Oh well. We finally made it out.

Blue Cast

Dillon has a permanent cast on now. At the doctor's he got to choose what color he wanted. They gave him the choice of green, yellow, red or blue. He chose blue. He still says his leg has a band-aid.

In other news, Ethan had his first real food today. He ate some pears. Well, he didnt really eat them, they mostly ran all over the place. We have felt his 2 bottom teeth so they should be poking through any day. He has been drooling about 2 gallons a day so we figured he was getting close to having teeth.

Moab Trip

What promised to be a fun trip came to an abrupt end when Dillon broke his leg by jumping off of a bench. We had brought his jeep out thinking that he would be able to drive it with his cousin "Dox".
Instead, we got to visit the ER at the local hospital. Overall, it ended up well enough. Friday we took a jeep ride with grandma and grandpa, Natalie, Katie and Hannah.

Saturday we mostly hung around the condo. Dillon and Ethan had fun being passed around everyone and playing with "Dox."
